very rare canopy bed for child in very good condition 
with wear and tear consistent with age
(only one minor shortcoming on one right front panel)
The original lacquer with gold finish has been revived 
in last decades with translucent lacquer in the traditionnal manner
the bed is entirely demountable and is entirely constructed with
the famous chinese tenon and mortise techniques without nails or
other 
this kind of beds for children were rather rare and only found amongst
the wealthy merchant class in the XIXth Century or of course in the
environment of dignitaries or at the Court.
