Writing top is finished off with a patinated leather which has probably
been replaces in recent years

Good structural condition, the surface is patinated in line with its age and use.
The top shelf has been revived recently.
Woodworm was detected in one of the legs and has been treated professionaly

This piece comes with a nice feature that is only there from time to time : it has
an integrated alarm in the form of a small spring bell hidden in the lock which is
activated each time one tries to open or close the flap top.
